Because Key West is a relatively small city it is quite easy to get around. Duval Street is only about a mile long. Therefore, a walking tour of Old Town can be a pleasant and interesting experience.
About fifteen percent of island natives use bicycles to get around town especially now that bicycle pathes are becoming more prevalent. There are many rental shops around, but some hotels provide bicycles to their guests. So check with them first. Mopeds and scooters are also very popular means of transportation.
